1. How did you decide to travel to Serbia?

  2. I started to get interested in Serbia from a YouTuber, and it was he who showed me how wonderful and vibrant the place was. I saw how beautiful Belgrade and he talked about how cool of a city it was. So at 25 for the first time outside the U.S., I traveled alone for months to the Balkan.

  3. What about Yugoslavian history motivated you to pick Serbia as your primary destination?

Well, I knew that during Yugoslavia Belgrade was its capital, and I knew mostly about Serbia. I thought that It would be a great place to start learning about its beautiful art and history. I was right, Belgrade and Novi Sad have beautiful historical sights and art museums.

  1. What are all the places you visited in Serbia, and which ones did you like the most? When I first traveled for the month I went to Belgrade, Nis, and Novi Sad. I loved Belgrade, It is a busy city but I was never bored by it, its cafes, markets, and historical sights, or its nightlife I was having the time of my life. Serbia is a very diverse region and I think they’re a vibe and style for everyone. Nis was southern culture, a very laid-back country style of life with a small-city feeling. Then I was Novi Sad which was my second favorite, I loved its architecture and the nature around it.

  2. What are all how Serbian culture differs from American culture, and are there any similarities?

Well, first people are the same everywhere. But I think Serbians are very approachable, and I think North Americans would be very comfortable traveling in this country.
